2013 Moulton Speedway Modified Street Rules
BODY:

  1. Any 1960 or newer sedan, truck or coupe. Aluminum or steel bodies but must be stock appearing for make and model.
  2. Stock wheel base
  3. Must run plastic nose pieces and tail pieces.
  4. Must have wrecker loops on front and rear of car
  5. All doors must be welded or bolted shut
  6. All glass must be removed.
  7. Racing seat with approved shoulder harness required
  8. 4 post roll cage welded to the frame with 3 or more bars in the driver door. All bars must be 1 5/8” or larger
  9. Unibodies can be tied together from frame to sub-frame connectors.
  10. Car must be strictly stock appearing for make and model.
  11. Plastic ground effects are permitted
  12. Pedals must be in stock location
  13. Battery must be relocated and strapped securely in battery box in cockpit or trunk
  14. Cockpits allowed.
  15. Maximum 8” spoiler

ENGINE:
Option A:

  1. Any small block Chevy up to 350 +.060 over bore. Any small block Ford up to 351+.060 bore. Any Chrysler up to 360+ .060 over bore.
  2. 6 cyl stock FI   100lb weight break
  3. Must pull and hold 17" vacuum at 1000 rpm by track gauge.
  4. Any flat top or dish pistons allowed not to exceed deck height.
  5. Stock rods OR Eagle or Scat SIR I Beam 5.700 rods., Stock crank, stock heads, stock type ignition, and block from the automobile manufacturer.
  6. No porting and polishing at all.
  7. Cam maximum lift "450 with .010"tolerance.cam will be checked at the valve .005 feeler gauge will be used to check for solid lift cams.
  8. Intake must have stock casting. No high rises. No marine intakes or spacers. Professional product Part #52001 & Edelbrock Performer 2101. 1” maximum adapter/spacer plate allowed
  9. Bigger valves and springs may be installed
  10. Roller rockers allowed.
  11. No solid lift or roller cams or lifters.
  12. Any stock type fuel pump for that make of car
  13. Screw in studs and guide plates are allowed.
  14. Carburetor: Holley carb. ONLY (not to exceed 750 cfm) (Horns can not be removed.)
  15. No aluminum heads, no bowtie blocks allowed.  Vortec heads are allowed casting's #906 & 062 OEM ONLY!  Manifolds allowed #52007-PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT,  #2116-Edelbrock Performer.
  16. Can have after market pulleys.
  17. Engine may be + or – 1 inch from ball joint.
  18. No angle head plugs.
  19. No MSD boxes.

 

Option B:

  1. No vacuum rule.
  2. Maximum CU 362. (Chrysler or Ford if over must add 50 lbs.)
  3. 2 barrel  500 cfm maximum (4412 carb), 1” spacer max.
  4. Any flat tappat cam and lifters.
  5. Any flat top pistons allowed.
  6. Stock rods, stock crank, stock heads, stock type ignition, and block from the automobile manufacturer.
  7. No porting and polishing at all.
  8. Intakes – stock no high rises or marine. Professional product Part #52001, Edelbrock 2101 Performer and Edelbrock 2901 Victor Jr with no spacers.
  9. Screw in studs and guide plates are allowed.
  10. No aluminum heads, no bowtie blocks allowed. Vortec heads are allowed casting's #906 & 062 OEM ONLY! Manifolds allowed #52007-PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT,  #2116 and #2912 Edelbrock.
  11. No angle head plugs.
  12. Roller rockers allowed.
  13. No MSD boxes.

Option C:

  1. GM Performance Sealed Crate Motors: GM part number P/N 88958602:
  2. MUST PULL AND HOLD 17” VACUUM. Must have vacuum port for track tech to connect to.
  3. CARBURETOR: One 4-barrel carburetor only. Max 750cfm.
  4. Engine must be naturally aspirated.
  5. May use one carburetor spacer, 1 inch maximum, and two standard one piece open hole paper gasket (maximum .070 inch thickness), one gasket between intake to spacer and one gasket between spacer to carburetor.
  6. WATER PUMP: Cast or aluminum permitted. No electric water pump allowed.
  7. EXHAUST: Collection type headers required. No Tri-Y headers allowed.

1. These engines are sealed at the intake manifold, cylinder head, front cover, and oil pan with special twist off bolts. Crate engines must not be altered, modified, of changed in any way from factory specification.
2. The sealed engines must remain intact and not be tampered with. Any seals that have been removed or tampered with will make the engine illegal and ineligible for competition. Track reserves right to confiscate engine for technical inspection. The penalty for tampering with seals, modifying any internal engine parts, changing parts from stock as delivered and sealed from the factory will be subject to expulsion from racing in the class permanently.
3. No changes are allowed to the engines. Including Intake manifold, heads, valve covers, front cover, oil pan, harmonic balancer, or any other part(s) on or in the engines.

 

TIRES AND WHEEL:

  1. IMCA Tires OK, Must be stamped IMCA. Towel city racing retreads allowed. Can run any DOT stamped racing tire no wider than 10". No other racing tires allowed. All tires must durometer 58 or harder by track gauge.
  2. 10" steel wheels permitted.
  3. Beadlocks allowed on right side ONLY.

SUSPENSION:

  1. Springs must stay in stock location. Minimum 5 inch. Tubular upper non-adjustable control arms are ok.
  2. Racing springs and shocks permitted. Steel shocks –  non-adjustable allowed.  Weight jacks or adjustable shackles allowed.
  3. Wheels may be reinforced to prevent loss. Plating, washers, or double nuts recommended. 9" ford rear end permitted.
  4. Floater rear ends allowed.
  5. No quick change rear end. Quick steers allowed.
  6. Stock steering box & steering assembly for that make of car. After market pumps allowed
  7. Rear suspension stock.
  8. Leaf springs sliders, adjustable shackles, adjustable bolts ok on coils.
  9. No adjustable trailing arms upper or lower on rear. 19 ½ inches C-C or 22 3/8 C-C on lower. Rear upper control arms 11 ¼ only.

Transmission:

  1. Any Transmission.
  2. Standard Transmission may run small clutches.
  3. 4 wheel brakes required.
  4. Disc Brakes allowed.

WEIGHT:

  1. 3100 lbs Minimum. NOTE: Any engine over 362 cu. in. must add 100 lbs.
  2. 3200 lbs for aluminum bodies.
