2012 Moulton Speedway General Rules &
Procedural Rules

1. Drivers Meeting is at 06:30 pm. Hot Laps are at 06:45 pm
2. All drivers, car owners, or anyone else wanting to enter the pit area must sign a release  and purchase a pit pass
3. Any driver or crew member, who subjects any ridicule or bad language toward track officials, could be fined, barred, or car disqualified.
4. No drugs, alcoholic beverages, or firearms are allowed in the pit area or on track property
5. The car driver will be the sole spokesman on all matters
6. Someone needs to stay with your car at all times
7. It is MANDATORY for all drivers to attend the drivers meeting
8. All drivers must help pack the track
9. No work will be done on cars during cautions. If unsafe conditions exist cars will stop on front strait away for track officials to check
10. Nerf bars are permitted in all classes. No more than two inches clearance between body of car and inside of nerf bar at start of race.
11. No radios or mirrors in any class
12. Driver can not enter the same car in two or more classes
13. Any unnecessary roughness on the track you may be disqualified
14. Slower cars (about to be lapped)given the move over flag must move to bottom of racing surface, if they don't after two warnings they will be blacked flagged
15. Numbers must be neatly painted / stickered on both doors and the roof
16. No nitrous oxide in any class
17. If you are new to the track or have any questions about your car ask the tech man or track official before the hot laps begin
18. If it is not covered in the rule book it will be looked upon by the track officials & the decision will be final
19. No traction control devices allowed in any class
Race Procedures
1. It will be the driver’s responsibility to be lined up prior to the start of the race.
2. When the green flag is dropped, the two cars on the front row will start the race. The car or cars jump starting will be moved back to the next row & the next car or cars will move to the front row & so on unless non-starts are caused by other cars in the field
3. Revert back to the last completed green flag on all cautions. We do not race back on cautions
4. Any car, which causes two cautions in a race will be blacked flagged (2 spin out rule)
5. Any car failing to follow rules of the track could be fined or barred
6. Any car failing to cross the scales as instructed will not get paid
7. All cars must weigh after timing in
8. All classes (unless timing) will draw to determine starting position for heat race how you finish the heat is where you start in the feature
9. No rough-housing or disorderly conduct will be tolerated at any time. If so they will be asked to leave and may be barred for the amount of time track deems necessary & will forfeit all winnings for the night
10. All cars that are asked must go thru the tech line and must cross the scales or they will forfeit all winnings for that night
11. Only the checkered flag can follow the white flag except in the life threatening situations or if the racing groove is blocked
12. All starts will be out of turn four or front straightaway on the track surface when the flagman displays the green flag and/or light
13. On restarts all cars must stay nose to tail until you pass the flag stand on the front straight. If you pass before the flag stand you will be put to the rear of the field on the next caution or stopped being scored. The first place car on a restart can start the race anywhere between the light pole (center of turn 3&4) and the flag stand on the front straightway
14. There will be no courtesy laps given in any race. Any time you leave the track you will restart on the rear
15.  If you leave the track surface and come back on you will get your position back if there has not been a green flag lap made.
DO NOT STOP ON THE TRACK DURING A CAUTION UNLESS TRACK OFFICAL STOPS YOU...IF YOU STOP WITH OUT OFFICAL STOPPING YOU, YOU WILL GO TO THE REAR OF FIELD
Safety Rules
1. All cars keep it slow in the pits $100 fine for speeding in the pits
2. Drivers must wear certified crash helmet
3. Fire suits mandatory in all classes
4. Neck braces are suggested & window nets are mandatory; window nets are optional in late model, late model stock and open wheel
5. All cars must have one working fire extinguisher mounted in car & must be within reach of the driver (should also be in reach of track official)
6. All weight must be securely mounted no loose weight allowed in the cock pit, do not mount weight on the bumper, all weight must be painted white with the car number painted on it
7. No electric fuel pumps in any class
8. All cars must have safety loop on the drive shaft and drive shaft must be painted white
9. Fuel cells must be securely mounted
10. At least four point safety harness is required in all cars
11. Batteries & fuel cells may be relocated for safety in all cars
12. No one allowed on the track during cautions or red flags except officials & emergency crews
13. The track has the right to inspect cars for safety purposes & the right to turn car away if it is found unsafe to compete in a race
14. If red flag & red light is displayed cars must stop immediately

PROTEST
a. Any and all protests must be made within 10 minutes of the end of the feature race
b. You must finish in the top 5 of the feature to make a protest. Can not protest backward, protesting must be done forward.
c. If parts are in question, impounding or car and or motor may be required.

PROTEST FEES
a. Top half (1 head) $250-$50 to track
b. Whole engine (1 head and oil pan) $500-$50 to track
c. Transmission / Flywheel $300 - $ 50 to track

PROTEST PENALTIES
- Any driver refusing to teardown during to protest will forfeit their winnings and points for the night, and the following conditions will apply:
After 1st Offense: Driver is allowed to return to race the following week but will start on the rear of the field for the feature race.
After 2nd Offense: Driver will be allowed to return to race the following week and start on the rear of the feature, but forfeit winnings for that night and points for that year up to that date.
Prior to the next time the driver / car races at Moulton Speedway car will have to be proven legal for competition at Moulton Speedway. Arrangements must be made prior to day of race for inspection at race track. Fees may apply for Tech official’s time.

During any protest anyone caught getting out of control, will be escorted from the property and banned for an amount of time to be determined by the track.

If either protester or protested gets out of control, bad language, or gestures are made during a protest, either toward each other or toward a track official, the protest will be IMMEDIATELY OVER and the party not responsible for the outbreak will automatically win the protest and all monies due.

Tech official will make ruling one time and one time only. No Arguing with Tech Official. Discussions are OK prior to final ruling.
